Business Intelligence (BI) / ETL Developer

THE CHALLENGE

The goals of the BI team are to help maintain the integrity of VeriShip’s high value data assets and to provide a single source of reporting truth that meet the needs of external reporting, internal reporting and data science analysis.  The BI developer’s duties to achieve these goals are to develop and maintain data loads for our reporting Data Mart; develop and maintain reports and dashboards for our internal and external clients; develop and maintain ETL scripts that will synchronize data between internal systems.  Key traits for success include the drive to learn new technologies, the ability to rapidly apply lessons learned and the desire to collaborate across the organization and with our customers and partners. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years Database development experience using any SQL language such as T-SQL (Microsoft), PL/SQL (Oracle), MYSQL, etc.
  • 2+ years ETL development experience
  • A working knowledge of data modeling concepts (3rd normal form and Star Schema)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, IS, or IT or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with any of the following technologies and tools would be useful: Chef, GIT, JIRA, Grunt, Slack, S3, OAuth, SAML, AWSSDK, Amazon EMR, Big Data concepts

Account Executive

THE CHALLENGE

We are seeking high-energy, intelligent, revenue-driven Account Executives. The primary objective of an Account Executive will be to deliver the VeriShip value proposition to qualified prospects/clients, demonstrate solutions to their pain points, and follow up with them to solve their issues while winning new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of VeriShip solutions, industry trends and competition
  • Make daily outbound calls and send targeted emails to prospects/clients to initiate and nurture meaningful business relationships and to uncover new opportunities
  • Demonstrate a talent for selling the VeriShip products and services
  • Effectively coordinate all aspects of the sale from start to finish
  • Learn the tools necessary to be successful: CRM (Salesforce.com), VeriShip software, and sales intelligence tools
  • Conduct pre-call research to gather company and contact intelligence
  • Deliver/present the VeriShip value proposition both online and in person. (Minimal travel may be required – less than 25%)
  • Ask purposeful questions and listen attentively to prospects to identify key business issues and drivers
  • Consistently meet goals for closing business.
  • Participate in the creation of email and phone campaigns into target markets and companies
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to help develop Business Development Associates
  • Work with Sales Leadership and other critical company resources to meet or exceed company revenue goals
  • Learn the Sandler Selling System

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous B2B sales experience selling to Director, VP and C-level roles
